  1. What's the environment like at Active Media Architects?

    Our workplace environment is open, friendly and informal. Employees work together in common areas rather than cubicles or offices and we encourage everyone to work together and to help one another. Dress is casual. While somewhat laid-back, as one might expect, each person has a responsibility to govern themselves appropriately and take care of business first and foremost.
  2. What type of training is provided?

    The type and level of training depends entirely on the posistion and the employee. All programmers will be given hands-on training in learning framework and will be prepared for PHP5 certification. Designers will be trained on usability and standards, as well as proper esthetics, our style preferences and guidelines. There may also be opportunities for advanced training in important applications such as Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop where necessary.
  3. What health benefits packages are normally offered?

    To ensure each employee gets exactly what he or she wants in a health and life insurance package, we help each employee individually tailor their insurance plan to meet their precise needs and to fit into their budget - instead of being forced into one, often more expensive, group plan. We also reimburse for yearly optical exams.
  4. Do you offer your employees any special perks?

    We do. Everyone gets a full-time paid membership to Powerhouse Health & Fitness Center, free company swag (some really cool stuff!) and, best of all, the entire company takes mid-summer break.
  5. What's this about a mid-summer break?

    Remember when you were a kid and you had summer vacation with all the other kids? Wasn't that great? Well that's the idea here. This year, 2007, the company will take its break starting on the last weekend in June through the first week in July (plus a couple days). Nice!
